I'm not sure why Vila felt naked He feels naked because it's a paradise and it reminds him of the Alpha places he heard of back on Earth. So he feels paranoid, that he's being watched and they might come in and scoop him up any moment.
As for Tellaran society, this is just the tip of the iceberg. I'll show more about how their economy and society works. A lot of how their society works is invested in the education of their young.
It's interesting building a society from the ground up using just a few ideas from matriarchies. I am mindful that in communist societies, alot of the ideas don't seem to work in terms of their idea of forced equality. But in matriarchies it does seem to work without the oppression backing it up. But of course, matriarchies run along very different lines, more female-strengths oriented rather than male-strengths.
